This was a year of firsts; my first time to Fashion Week, my first time to Spring Studios, and the return of SevenCrash to the runways. This Autumn/Winter “Evolution” collection is all about sustainability, space-travel, and outlining the impact fashion has on the environment.

Let’s talk outerwear, streetwear and unconventional patterns with a hint of Chinese culture and technology. Attention grabbing metallic puffer coats with a pop of pastels layering underneath were a buzz when the show first begun. As the runway progresses you will see fashion forward winter apparel that would give you major style points coming down the slopes. Using environmentally-friendly textiles to express the importance of sustainability for the future, the brand continues to explore new territory.

SevenCrash’s inspiration this season derives from the accelerated technological advancement that inspires people to pause, reflect, adjust, and connect.

We caught Brand CEO Jason Yao backstage after the show. “As a disruptive brand, we believe in progress and staying ahead of the curve, in the current climate, sustainability needs to be and will be every brand’s number one priority. Every season we have been devoting more and more of our resources to researching and developing sustainable textiles and increasing the role they play in our design process. This is our mandate and an integral part of our corporate culture.”

Trendsetters were walking down the runway with such confidence and a sense of futurism workwear that if a polar vortex were to be among us tomorrow, I felt prepared. Lights Camera Action challenge your limits and possibilities with your streetwear this season.
