The womens leg of New York Fashion Week kicked off with a wild swing back to the 80s with Tom Ford unveiling his Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

Bright colors, symmetrical cuts, and deconstructed lines saw models wear a mixtape of animal prints, velvet and glitter. Ford, a recently converted vegan admitted that the change in diet, would be followed by a change down the runway. We are already seeing real swapped for faux and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls all walked the runway keeping the star studded audience on the edge of their seats as The Pointer Sisters ‘Im so excited’ blasted through the speakers.

The high energy show was complimented perfectly with the garments which threw homage to Fords menswear collection which debuted the previous week. A refreshing and fun opening to the season ahead.
